The former Liberty House building served as significant design inspiration for Lau Hala Shops. Many original elements were retained, paying homage to the site's previous retail namesake. The redeveloped core serves as a vibrant community center to activate pedestrian experiences with local eateries and shops to further engage Kailua's residents and visitors.
