Hale Makana O Mo’ili’ili is a mid-rise affordable rental housing project designed to meet the demand for safe and long-term housing for kupuna. This project features 80 studio/1 bath units and 25 one-bedroom/1 bath units equipped with modern, energy-efficient amenities. The Community Center serves as a hub for social gatherings, cultural presentations, and nonprofit agency support, enriching residents’ lives.

Sustainability is at the core of our design. The fire-resistant wood-framed building includes passive design strategies that were implemented in the overall site planning and building design. Energy-efficient fixtures and features promote conservation and minimize utility costs. Solar-powered and energy-efficient LED outdoor lighting illuminates the walkways and parking areas.

The accessible walkways, ADA-compliant designs, and in-house resources enable seniors to live independently. Developed by Ikenakea Development and constructed by general contractor Moss & Associates, Hale Makana O Mo’ili’ili stands as a testament to our dedication to our kupuna. It provides a haven that celebrates the independence and enduring legacy of our kupuna, reflecting their unique cultural heritage and ensuring their well-being in their golden years.
