Dan joined AHL with nearly 40 years of experience leading large, complex, multi-disciplinary teams to implement projects in client market sectors, including education, healthcare, aviation, corporate/commercial, and civic design. He thrives on engaging clients to understand their visions and orchestrates the design and consulting team to create ideas and solutions to meet long and short-term goals. Dan’s tactful leadership guides AHL’s teams through a style that starts with listening. He has fully embraced the firm culture of AHL while thoughtfully implementing dynamic, forward-looking change. 

Prior to his time at AHL, Dan worked for large multidisciplinary design firms leading strategic growth initiatives and working on a wide range of project and client types. His engaging style and team leadership helps to inform innovative project solutions for clients.

Dan fits right into Hawai’i’s nature-centric lifestyle. Originally from Colorado, his love for mountain sports has shifted to the water. You can often find him surfing or paddling on the weekends.
